The Cuchumatanes Annual Climbing is a traditional competition held in Huehuetenango every year. Runners take their places a sunday of in august, and every year more and more competitors, nationals and foreigners, come to Huehue to participate. This competition is for people in great phisical condition because runners run climbing more than five towsand feet in a twenty kilometers path. The event itself, starting the day before when the Guatemala-Huehuetenango-Towns bike trip takes place, is an authenticall party.
